Q. What kinds of services does Genie of Clearwater provide?
A. We sell, service and install garage doors and garage door openers. We also install motorized screens.
Q. What brands do you service?
A. All of them. We can work on Raynor, Amarr, Banko, C.H.I., Clopay, Crawford, GADCO, Overhead, Taylor, Windsor, Wayne Dalton and more garage doors. We also work on Genie, Raynor, Chamberlain, Craftsman, LiftMaster, Linear, Sears, Omega, Overhead, Moore-O-Matic, Lift-A-Door and other garage door openers.
Q. Do I have to wait at home all day for service?
A. Absolutely not. We will call you in the morning and give you a time frame. We will also call when our man is on his way. If the time frame is not convenient for you, you may have the option of leaving a side door open or leaving the garage door in manual and we will lock up when we are done. We also schedule service calls for Saturday for those who cannot be home during the week.
Q. Will my door and /or opener be repaired today?
A. In most cases, yes. Our trucks are well stocked with the most common replacement parts for several brands of both garage doors and openers. This provides the highest probability of same day repair for your convenience.
Q. Does Genie of Clearwater also install garage doors?
A. Yes we do. In fact we install the best quality garage doors, Raynor garage doors. You cannot buy them at any retail stores, only through a Raynor dealership. We have been installing this brand of garage door for over 30 years (since 1977).
Q. Are garage doors you sell built to withstand a hurricane?
A. Yes, they are. In fact, we offer both hurricane ready and impact-rated garage doors. Hurricane ready doors meet or exceed the current windload codes for Pinellas and Pasco counties. Should a hurricane approach, all you need to do is close your garage door, engage the slide lock and your door is secure for the coming storm. Impact doors will withstand even stronger winds. Larger impact doors require the installation of a post behind the center of the door when a storm is coming. If you are replacing your door for insurance purposes or for My Safe Florida Home, then you will need an impact door.
